Amber, Sumatran Blue 003
This very ancient, 35-44 million years old, Amber, is best known for the dramatic color changes that occur under simple UV light - turning a dramatic blue color. Under regular light sources, the color is red or brown. Other colors included in some pieces are white, red, olive and violet tones. This Amber has not been heat treated nor otherwise altered to enhance its appearance or durability. All Amber is susceptible to damage from direct UV exposure and should be stored in a dry. cool, place and out of sunlight when not being worn.
